Summary

We are seeking a full-time on-site Sales Application Engineer in Richmond, Virginia. The successful candidate will foster strong relationships with our customers and lead the process of identifying and selling the right filtration solutions, following up with clients and providing technical support as needed. This role requires excellent communication and a high degree of mechanical aptitude.


Responsibilities

The Sales Application Engineer will be responsible for sales, technical and commercial support, and customer service activities related to filtration solutions. Below are examples of the core responsibilities.


  • Participate in the inside technical sales function, including: customer engagement, product specification, quote development, order entry & confirmation, and customer follow-up.
  • Manage key accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the achievement of significant compounding annual sales growth.
  • Analyze customer- and market-trends to inform marketing strategies and product development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical sales or a related field, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Experience with industrial plumbing, fluid power, or liquid process systems is ideal.
  • Strong understanding of pre-sales processes and an ability to analyze customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of pricing techniques and cost modelling.
  • Familiarity with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Attention to detail is crucial to success in this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related field, or relevant work experience is required.
