🎯Ost-West Logistic Poland is looking for an employee for Sales and Business Development Manager in Germany in the rail logistics industry. The company operates in the domestic and international rail freight markets, provides services as a carrier, operator and freight forwarder, as well as organizes transshipment of goods at border crossings and ports. The headquarters' of OWLP is located in Katowice, Poland.

🤝Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for finding new customers based on available wagons and freight resources, building and developing relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, calculating freight costs, issuing invoices, handling possible complaints, work with OWLP partners and contractors and establishing new business relations.
🔋Scope of responsibilities:
• Active search for clients and freight orders (private companies, public companies and enterprises that produce or own goods) – Priorities are transportations between Germany and Poland;
• Professional customer service, including management of relations, contracts, billing, complaints;
• Collaborating with the OWLN-Sales department in the organisation and coordination of international services;
• Collaborating with the financial department - in the settlement of services;
• Collaborating with the dispatching department - in the planning and execution of services;
• Participating in the development of sales budgets within the business plan and reporting progress within the required timeframe;
• Developing effective logistics solutions based on rail transport between Western Europe and Eastern Europe;
• Building stable and sustainable business relationships with all subcontractors (terminals, customs agencies, etc.).;
• Delivering planned revenue;
• Achieving financial, strategic and other objectives assigned to the position.
✅Requirements:
• Knowledge of the railway market (Germany and across Europe): carriers, railway operators, terminals, customs agencies, etc.
• Experience in work with bulk cargoes (metallurgy, construction materials, coal, iron ore etc.);
• Experience in work with containers, flat wagons and pocket wagons;
• Experience in searching for clients, conducting commercial negotiations and concluding contracts with clients;
• Knowledge of German language – native speaker or C2 level;
• Knowledge of English language at the B2 level minimum;
• Experience in organising rail transport;
• Basic knowledge of the SMGS and AVV;
• Knowledge of the European rail transport market, ability to analyse market conditions;
• Willingness to go on business trips;
• University degree in economics, logistics or related field is welcome;
• Analytical mindset, entrepreneurial approach to assigned tasks and commitment to work.
