Admissions Coordinator Summary
In the admissions coordinator position at Thrust Flight, you serve as the first point of contact for potential students who are interested in our Zero Time to Airline flight training program. You will work with the admissions team to guide potential students in our enrollment process and assist with the preparations and collaboration with other departments to enhance the school’s reputation and ensure student satisfaction. This role requires an independent creative, critical thinker with strong organization skills and a passion for people.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospective Student Engagement: Serve at the first point of contact for potential students providing clear and engaging information about Thrust Flight’s programs, enrollment process, and career pathways. Maintain high call volumes daily in a timely and professional manner to speak with prospective students on the phone to answer questions, guide them through the admissions process, and follow up on inquiries.
Campus Tours & On-site Engagement: Conduct multiple in-person campus tours weekly, requiring extended periods of walking and standing while showcasing Thrust Flight’s facilities and training environment. You will be required to be able to step up inside of small aircraft safely to demonstrate during the tour.
Collaboration & Outreach: Cross collaborate across departments to provide a smooth onboarding experience for students and assist in organizing and executing discovery flights/tours, orientation preparations, and community and special events to showcase the Thrust Flight experience. This can include industry workshops, school fairs, and internal Thrust Flight events.
Admissions Support: Continue to the continuous improvement of the admissions process by assisting with new strategies, recommending improvements, and maintaining strong industry knowledge to better promote Thrust Flight. Additional responsibilities as needed to support admissions goals and team success.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, aviation, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Previous experience in admissions, sales, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable.
Aviation knowledge or experience is a plus but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with prospective students over the phone and in person.
High-Volume Phone Experience: Comfortable making and receiving a high volume of calls daily while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.
Public Speaking & Tour Leadership: Ability to conduct engaging, informative campus tours, requiring extended periods of walking and standing.
Customer Service Focus: Passion for helping others, providing guidance, and ensuring a positive experience for prospective students and their families.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, track student progress, and follow up efficiently.
Adaptability & Initiative: Willingness to take on new challenges, recommend improvements, and assist with evolving admissions strategies.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work closely with various departments to support student enrollment and improve processes.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Google, CRM systems, and the ability to learn new software tools quickly.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours a day while leading tours and can safely move in and out of small aircraft.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent phone calls, meetings, and student interactions.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or student needs.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
