Summary

Job Title: Sales Account Manager – Semiconductor Capital Equipment

Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth and managing strategic relationships with key customers in the semiconductor industry, including Research and Development facilities within the university, and capital equipment accounts. This individual will serve as a customer advocate while aligning with corporate objectives, leveraging a combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and account coordination. This role requires deep industry knowledge, particularly in semiconductor capital equipment sales, and the ability to manage complex sales cycles and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management & Sales Execution

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales quotas.
  • Manage and expand relationships with established and prospective customers, focusing on long-term partnerships.
  • Coordinate sales efforts for key accounts, working closely with international sales teams and partners.
  • Conduct territory planning, performance tracking, and competitive analysis to identify new market opportunities.
  • Advocate for customer needs while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and product roadmaps.
  • Drive long sales-cycle design-ins for capital equipment and customized semiconductor solutions.
  • Forecast, prepare quotations, and manage order booking and pipeline.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers regarding pricing, product availability, scheduling, and technical requirements.

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Build and maintain relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
  • Lead business development initiatives through customer outreach, trade shows, and industry networking.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for issue resolution, including complaints, returns (RMAs), and product failures.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to product development and management teams.

Administrative & Operational Duties

  • Research and track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer demand.
  • Maintain accurate sales and customer activity records.
  • Manage quotes, sales orders, and delivery schedules in coordination with internal operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, including safety and ethical standards.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in capital equipment sales or marketing within the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
  • Proven success managing accounts and driving design-in wins through long sales cycles.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.


Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (MBA or relevant advanced degree).
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or related semiconductor equipment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and sales management platforms.
