What to Expect?
The Account Manager is the go-to contact for customer accounts, fostering strong relationships, and spotting new sales opportunities. Through collaboration with sales teams this role will boost territory growth, negotiate deals, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position involves analyzing market trends, hitting sales targets, resolving customer issues, and reporting on account progress.
Responsibilities:
* Serves as the primary liaison for all customer account management activities, ensuring a seamless and personalized client experience.
* Develops and strengthens relationships with key accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs.
* Proactively uncovers and pursues new business opportunities within existing client base.
* Collaborates with outside sales team to identify and drive business growth within the designated territory.
* Skillfully negotiates and finalizes contracts, focusing on agreements that enhance profitability while meeting client needs.
* Develops and executes account strategies that contribute to the company's broader market expansion goals.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products or services, upholding the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
* Reviews and evaluates customer accounts to identify business opportunities in specific product categories.
* Meets or exceeds sales targets and performance goals.
* Addresses and resolves customer concerns promptly and professionally, preserving strong client relationships.
* Ensures the timely delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives, ensuring a successful partnership.
* Communicates clearly with stakeholders about the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives.
* Forecasts and monitors key account metrics, including quarterly sales results and annual forecasts.
* Prepares detailed reports on account status, facilitating strategic decision-making.
* Additional job-related duties, as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
* Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
* Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
* Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
* Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field.
