We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our sales team based in Gloucester!
Hybrid role, working 3 days a week from the Gloucester office
Permanent/Full Time contract
Up to £45K basic salary with OTE potential of £70-80K
The New Sales Account Manager will drive and increase Blackfinch’s profile to new adviser firms. By promoting Blackfinch’s tax offering to new prospects this role is critical for driving growth for the business. The role will also provide essential support for the nationwide External Business Development Teams by ensuring they have a healthy pipeline of new prospects to meet. This is a fantastic opportunity to create a first impression with prospects who have had little to no exposure to the Group. Being one of the integral members of the Internal Distribution Team you will form a key part of the development of strong and meaningful professional relationships within the investment world. A generous level of on target earnings are on offer for the right candidate who can quickly align with the Groups expediential growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating an exceptional first impression with a nationwide bank of prospects in the Advisory and Financial Planning space by making 100+ calls per week.
- Be brand ambassador by sharing the groups brand, values and ethos and propositions quickly and succinctly via introductory calls with new prospects
- Understanding contacts business need and clients who may benefit from the solutions we offer
- Following up all calls that do not result in a meeting booking with emails to maximise opportunities
- Nurturing contacts via continued engagement plans until a meeting is secured
- Developing firms with multiple contacts via referrals and fact finding research
- Building strong relationships with the Internal and External Business Development Managers
- Attending regular team meetings to understand weekly objectives and insights into Group needs and updates
- Involvement in campaigns by following the company’s objectives and activity expectations
- Maintaining accurate records of each contacts relationship lifecycle on the CRM updating key findings on areas of interest
- Being a corporate thinker aware of business needs and demonstrating how these will be met
- Understanding the importance of working in a highly regulated industry where accuracy and customer needs are key
- Meeting and exceeding targets and KPI’s centred around activity measures, customer conversion/meeting generation targets and customer and business needs
- Seek out ways to improve knowledge, skills and processes
Skills and Experience
- Previous direct sales experience with evidence of working in a target driven environment
- A team player willing to go the extra mile, both commercially and personally driven to succeed
- A proven track record of providing great customer service and being customer centric
- Proven experience of generating new leads from cold outreach activity including telephone, email and social media contact tools
- Be an effective closer in the sales process, using all the techniques and skills you have built up throughout your sales career
- A resilient, positive and competitive mindset willing to share ideas and take feedback on board
- Experience of using emails and social media tools to engage with prospective customers
- Evidence of using initiative, drive and determination to get results and enhance processes
- Strong relationship building skills with both customers and colleagues
- Clear and confident communications skills when on the phone
- Excellent written skills when emailing customers with great attention to detail
- Experience or working within a structured environment adhering to rules and regulations
- Experience of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Office and Word
Qualifications
- Good level of secondary education
- Excellent communication, reading and writing skills
- To either hold or be prepared to achieve during your first 6 months the CF1 or R01 qualification (on a sponsorship basis)
