The Sales Account Associate will be an agent who is new to the role and will manage entry-level responsibilities according to their experience. They will manage their tasks and accounts with support and guidance from colleagues as they develop their product knowledge and sales techniques to develop their input and outcomes within the team.

The Sales Account Executive is the intermediate level of the career ladder where agents have a solid grasp of sales fundamentals and have gained some experience in the field. They're capable of managing their own accounts autonomously, handling more complex sales scenarios (such as conversations that require a higher level of customization, decision-making or negotiation) with guidance from others and building strong client relationships. They may also start taking on more responsibilities such as training less experienced team members or contributing to sales strategies.

In contrast, the Senior Sales Account Executive will be the most experienced agent in the team. They will regularly take on more responsibilities and contribution in the areas of strategic sales planning, sales analytics and reporting, business development and handle complex sales situations autonomously such as supporting and explaining more complex products that require significant consultation, customization and complex relationship management. They might also mentor less experienced colleagues, pro-actively ideate and roll out strategic initiatives aimed at boosting the team’s results.

Job Purpose

Ensure agreed targets (FT) and extending value add post conversion by pro-actively building relationships with traders as well as ensuring we maximize the revenue opportunity from our active and dormant clients’ base – in compliance with local regulations and internal rules.

Job Responsibilities

CONVERSION

  • Meet and beat headline quarterly target and primary KPIs by making a high number of outbound calls to prospects who have expressed an interest in IG
  • Pro-actively build relationships with new clients who have recently registered with IG to help them get started and ensure a best-in-class experience.
  • Ensure optimal leads conversion in a given timeframe.
  • Demonstrate impeccable active listening skills on every call, listening with the intent to understand and support prospects in their first steps with IG.
  • Collect account opening documentation, support leads with administrative tasks and steps to complete their application.
  • Communicate and collaborate with AO team and Compliance.
  • Collaborate in content creation to educate clients (educational videos, webinars, etc) and optimize conversion rate.
  • Be proactive in every event IG will take part to increase acquisition and conversion.
  • Inform clients in order for them to create tailored solutions from a range of options to meet individual needs.
  • Feed the marketing team with relevant information about market trends, competitive landscape, switchers.

REACTIVATION

  • Pro-actively seek reactivation from 30 days lapsed non-Red clients (from lists provided by Sales Intelligence or Data Science teams) through outbound calls.

RETENTION

  • Develop a bespoke catch-up strategy and journey with new clients to ensure best in class support and experience and limit early months attrition.
  • Co-moderate in-house webinars and seminars on a regular basis.
  • Call out exercises to invite clients and prospects to events, seminars, etc.

Person Specification EXPERIENCE Essential

  • Experience (minimum of 6 months) in a sales role and/or roles within a target-driven environment – i.e., high volume, telephone sales, commission-driven reward. Desirable:
  • Entrepeneur mindset, and proactive attitude.

Qualification Essential

  • Experience in sales within a regulated environment is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in selling financial products is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in local language and English is compulsory. Desirable:
  • Personal experience of trading derivatives, ETP products, shares and/or other investments would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of -any other language required in the country- would be a strong plus.
  • Passion for financial markets, and to grow a career on finance.
