PURPOSE The main purpose of this position is to achieve the Company’s objectives and execute initiatives, programs and procedures to ensure complete compliance and achievement of field sales targets, customer service, operations, marketing, and staff training & development by managing a team of 15-20 Sales Reps in the Columbus, OH area and surrounding cities. You will lead the growth and success of the assigned program(s), with the support of the Account Manager within the Consumer & Loyalty Division. The Field Manager will manage and shape the communication and workflow from our most important asset – our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES Team Recruitment, Leadership & Development In accordance with SDI’s corporate HR policies & procedures, locally source (resumes, job fairs, referrals), interview, hire, train, manage and develop a stellar team of successful field sales representatives in your region Teach, lead and coach your team of Field Sales Reps (15-20 reps) to increase their effectiveness, efficiency and productivity through continuous improvement in time management, coaching and communication skills, leadership development, sales analysis, problem solving skills and interpersonal relations Implement key operational initiatives in the field while maintaining high ethical and procedural standards Lead the team to meet or exceed overall sales quotas in their assigned regions Work with the team through daily in-field visits to increase market share and close more sales Own the development and implementation of training documents and ensure field representatives are fully proficient and knowledgeable in program execution Minimum of 60% of work will be focused in the field (store visits, mystery shops, training, recruiting), roughly 20% of work will focus on admin tasks (scheduling, payroll, incentive programs). SDI will provide a car allowance and gas card for expenses incurred in field Communication/Operations/Administration Lead project management activity by consistently demonstrating the ability to successfully communicate with the account team and use problem solving skills when challenges arise Foster an environment of open and upward communication with all Field Sales Reps to ensure positive employee morale, effective conflict resolution and upward flow of creative ideas for the benefit of the Company and its employees Oversee and provide support as required, to the coordination of all logistics, including but not limited to: scheduling; storage; program vehicles; travel; payroll, vendors; etc. Conduct market research as necessary to ensure knowledge and understanding of client’s product/service and determine targeted demographics Oversee and provide support, as required, to the submission and tracking of the Field Representative payroll and expenses in accordance to the Finance/Payroll policies & procedures Attend and participate in all required team meetings Work well with and demonstrate respect for colleagues at all levels of the Company to consistently contribute to a positive work environment and culture Follow all Company Policies & Procedures and uphold SDI’s corporate vision and core values QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Post-secondary degree with a focus in business and/or marketing Minimum 1-year experience of prior successful sales team management experience Marketing agency experience a definite asset Home office with set up to allow for internet access Reliable vehicle & valid state Driver’s License/Insurance (Must be able to provide proof of license & a clean Driver’s Record)Strong passion and knowledge of sales and marketing Excellent management and team leadership skills Ability to motivate, encourage, mentor and develop a team of Field Sales Representatives. Willingness to travel regularly within sales region (min 60% of the time) Strong budget and critical path management skills Strong project management skills with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail-oriented & results driven Objectivity, interpersonal, facilitation and coaching skills Works well independently and within a team - always contributing to a positive work environment Proficient computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook (experience using Salesforce a definite asset) Willingness and dedication to uphold Company policies & procedures Valid passport for business travel to head office in Canada (as required) Flexible work schedule – must be available evenings & weekends.
