Job Summary

This job contributes to Starbucks success by supporting partner safety and asset protection. Performs assessment of adherence to safety and security policies and at Starbucks locations in order to control and minimize risk exposure. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures through training, consultation and communications with retail store partners and operations management. Acts as a first responder to safety and security incidents. Reports findings to appropriate operations, partner resources, and legal partners. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Performs assessment of retail compliance with policy, standards and procedures in line with current strategy.
  • Identifies and reports areas of potential risk and gaps between actual performance and company policy and procedures.
  • Partner with retail operations, district managers and store managers in the development of corrective and/or preventive actions plan based on findings from completed retail store assessments.
  • Provides consulting, coaching and training support to partners to ensure a proactive focus on adherence to policy and procedure is maintained throughout the business.
  • Makes recommendations to improve compliance and performance.
  • Coordinates delivery of training and partners with subject matter experts to provide input to course content.
  • Support partners and asset protection investigations program via execution of local video evidence retrieval as necessary.
  • Supports market assessment of organizational needs and development of training content relating to partner and asset protection programs.
  • Performs ad-hoc analysis and makes recommendations. Provides timely, concise and accurate reporting. Responsible for data/system integrity management.
  • Provides recommendations to deter/prevent internal and external theft, fraud, or other criminal activity and breaches of company policy within legal and company guidelines.
  • Responds to safety and security incidents and supports incident management processes.


Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in multi-unit retail or restaurant management
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to analyze retail profit and loss statements
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of retail store tracking systems and policies
  • Knowledge of partners and asset protection and related operational policies, procedures and programs
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information effectively
