Summary

Job Description: Responsibilities: Responsible for the implementation of all Environmental, Health & Safety programs consistent with federal, state, local and corporate regulatory requirements. Duties include: Implementing hazardous, biological/medical, and radioactive waste programs including routine pickup, transportation, accounting, processing and shipping activities Conducting regulatory required inspections of equipment, incoming materials and areas Working on routing EHS assignments per written procedures/policies, where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required Receives instruction on routing work and new assignments. Has good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable. Works under moderate supervision of supervisor Education: High School Diploma with 2 years of experience or Associates Degree with 1 year of experience.Responsibilities: - Develop and implement environmental health and safety programs and policies - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations - Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions - Prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for improvement - Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and best practices - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency response plans - Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field - Proven experience in environmental health and safety roles - Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to workplace safety - Excellent report writing skills with the ability to analyze data and present findings effectively - Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations - Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team.
