Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

• Assess safety training needs for new and existing employees.
• Enter training data and run reports to ensure timely completion of OSHA required and United Mechanical Inc. specific training.
• Provide monthly safety training and new hire safety training to employees.
• Conduct periodic safety walk-throughs to evaluate safety risks and tracks corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities for these risks.
• Assists in the identification, development, and implementation of proactive programs designed to reduce injuries and illnesses.
• Act as a leader of the safety team.
• ISNetWorld experience preferred.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Educational training in Safety or related field is preferred but not required.
• 2+ years’ experience in safety department.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team.
