The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Roller Operator to work at our Flint, MI location. The Operator will operate paving and rolling equipment.

Responsibilities

The Operator will:

• Shovel asphalt for patching and or paving crew
• Performing daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
• Communicating with office and field personnel
• Inspect grade and elevations correctly
• Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  
  

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to operate roller and other paving equipment
• Knowledge of materials
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time
• Work outside for an extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments
• Ability to read and write
• Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one
