You will work on various projects for clients in sectors such as agri and industry: from feed robots to fruit handling and metal sorting. From common issues across projects, you contribute to our own building blocks and libraries.

Your mission

Machines, deployed in unstructured environments, are getting smarter. You bring innovative technology to practice. Working out an innovative concept through a prototype to a 0-series machine energizes you. You are busy with implementation but are also challenged to zoom out and think about the machine as a whole and the required functionalities. You know better than anyone that collaboration within and outside the organization is necessary to meet complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Within a multidisciplinary project team, you will develop robotics controls and ML applications;
• Retrieve and establish functional requirements for the (sub-) system under your expertise;
• Signal recurring functionalities and capture their technical elaboration and implementation in our own platforms and libraries;
• Deliver functionality and documentation so that your Service and Maintenance colleagues and customers can work independently with the technology;
• Maintain contacts within your project team and with the department as a whole to achieve great results together;
• Keeping your own knowledge up-to-date in the rapidly developing field of robotics and ML within networks and collaborative projects with knowledge institutions.
  
  

Who are we looking for?

You Are The Ideal Candidate If You

• Have a completed WO education in the field of robotics, mechatronics, (technical) computer science or artificial intelligence;
• Have experience with software development in various programming languages (including Python, C++), experience with machine learning libraries and/or ROS2 is a plus;
• Can switch between technical depth and system overview at the functional level;
• challenge sees in an environment where not everything is fixed yet, but there is a need to work toward a practical result;
• Mastery of the Dutch language.
