Lead Robotics Engineer - Warehouse Automation - Rotterdam

Our client in Rotterdam (Netherlands) is an innovative technology company specializing in automated warehouse solutions for companies worldwide. They specialize in robotic sorting technology, they've successfully deployed over 1300 mobile robots, primarily in the US market. They're now seeking a hands-on leader to guide their hardware engineering team in developing the next generation of mobile robots. You will guide the hardware design process, ensuring proper integration with software and mechatronics components.

As a growing company in a Dutch tech hub, they combine practical engineering expertise with a collaborative approach to solving complex automation challenges. Their robotics division is expanding to meet increasing demand in the global logistics market.

The Role:

• Lead the hardware development for mobile robots from concept to production
• Manage a cross-functional team (18 engineers) across mechatronics, electronics, and firmware
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal software teams
• Define work packages and contribute to product roadmap

Requirements:

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Robotics
• 3-5 years in hardware design and systems integration
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Leadership skills and cross-team collaboration experience
