Compensation: $25/hr - $35/hr depending on experience, + overtime

Who You Are:

This is a temp-to-hire role with strong potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and team fit.

As a technician on the Manufacturing Team, you will be part of the team of in-house robot builders. You will follow assembly procedures and reference design documents to build fully functional industrial robots. You have an eye for detail, maintain high quality standards, and take pride in your work.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

The tasks and responsibilities in this role will include most of the following, but will be tailored to your strengths:

• Follow detailed work instructions, BOMs, and technical drawings with a strong attention to detail.
• Work well with the existing Manufacturing team to learn, grow, and contribute.
• Assemble robotic modules and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures, guided by mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Perform precision mechanical integration: appropriate torque values, part alignment, cable routing, and lubrication.
• Crimp, solder, route electrical harnesses, and install PCBAs.
• Assist with system-level verification through final Factory Acceptance Testing
• Support initial bring-up and debug of new builds — troubleshoot wiring, mechanical fitment, and calibration issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and the rest of the manufacturing team to report issues and suggest improvements.
• Perform service and upgrades on the existing robot fleet, based on new Engineering releases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation
• Help prep and package robots for shipment as needed.

We also require the following technical skills:

• Hands-on experience building, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems in robotics, aerospace, automation, oil & gas, or similarly demanding industries
• Strong skill at assembling complex mechanical systems
• Experience with basic electrical assembly and troubleshooting
• Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects[CG3] .
• Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools, common shop machines
• Ability to work on your feet and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

We encourage the following qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree in a related field or trade school, or 3+ years of experience working as a technician in a related field
• Experience with drones, robotics, or remotely operated vehicles

This role does not require regular travel. The majority of the work will be done indoors in an air-conditioned warehouse workspace.
