An innovative robotics company is looking for a Robot System Test Engineer to join their technology team. In this mid-level role, you'll be at the forefront of testing and validating cutting-edge Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and related systems. The position involves collaboration across hardware, software, and production teams to ensure performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of robotic platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Evaluation

  • Conduct detailed performance testing of AMRs and automated battery charging systems.

Troubleshooting & Quality Support

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and resolve issues impacting robot functionality.

Component Evaluation

  • Test and validate electronic components, circuit boards, and mechatronic subassemblies.

Lab Testing

  • Support testing activities within the robotics lab, collaborating closely with the technical team.

System Testing

  • Develop test scenarios, collect and analyze data, document bugs, and prepare comprehensive test reports.

Test Environment Management

  • Set up and maintain testing environments and fixtures to support ongoing evaluations.

Interface Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between software and integration teams for system-level testing and technical handoffs.

Process Improvement

  • Optimize testing procedures, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintain detailed test documentation.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field.

Experience

  • Prior hands-on experience in system testing, ideally in the robotics or automation sector.

Technical Skills

Must Have

  • Proficiency in Linux and ROS1/2 command-line operations.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical system schematics.
  • Practical experience troubleshooting hardware/software systems.

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with test automation tools and methodologies.
