Robot Programmer Robot Programmer Page 1 of 2 April 2025 TITLE: Robot Programmer BUSINESS UNIT: Service REPORTS TO: Service Manager FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt LOCATION: Schaumburg, IL REVISION DATE: 4/10/2025 SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Robot Programmer to join our Aftermarket team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, trouble shooting, and maintaining robotic welding systems to ensure high-quality and efficient production at customer site. This role involves close collaboration with CLOOS Service and Customer Production and Maintenance teams to optimize welding processes and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Develop and modify robotic welding programs to meet production and quality requirements.
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot CLOOS robotic welding equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to define program parameters.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on robotic systems.
• Analyze welding defects and adjust programs or parameters to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with welders, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to improve process performance.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on proper robot usage and basic troubleshooting.
• Document programming changes, welding procedures, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• All other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Welding Technology, Automation, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience / Abilities:
• 2+ years of experience programming and operating robotic welding systems.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, etc.) and materials.
• Proficiency in robot programming languages and software platforms
  
  

Requirements

This Role will be based in Decatur, IL for at least 6 months, but will also travel to Schaumburg, IL for training and additional travel may be required
