Your Role
As our Road Logistics Cross Dock Supervisor, you will be a key player in the warehouse team to offer solutions in a timely and efficient manner to the end customer to ensure all aspects of operation are completed with accuracy and quality.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure that your team members give top priority to customer service, and that they maintain an attitude of friendliness, courtesy and efficiency in the eyes of the customer at all times
- Develop and deliver training to department that address trends/issues that have been discovered through daily/weekly/monthly tasks
- Monitor warehouse management system transitions (receipts, orders and shipments) to ensure inventory accuracy
- Ensure all bonded cargo is shipped withing 7 days or admitted into FTZ
- Establish a cycle count program and attain 99.99 percent accuracy
- Update and control customer standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Control optimal inventory level on consumables, tools and personal protective equipment
- Check warehouse for damages, report and record damages and investigate responsible party so proper disciplinary action can be taken by management.
- Walkthroughs to ensure warehouse is compliant with C-TPAT and Kuehne+Nagel Secure Chain standards
- Make sure that everything is invoiced properly and timely to meet working capital KPI and SOPs
- Report and act upon safety concerns with warehouse and QSHE (Quality Safety Health and Environment) management
- Alert warehouse management of any security breach if detected
- Maintain warehouse as clean as possible and create and honor housekeeping program
Your Skills And Experiences
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred
- 3+ years experience as a people leader in a warehousing environment
- Multi task capability to complete several assignments during the day
- Properly train individuals to perform tasks and acquire additional responsibilities
- 2+ years experience managing the Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental needs of multiple sites in a warehouse setting
- Confidence in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and ad hoc data processing - pivot tables, graphs, formulas, etc.
- Experience presenting business reviews and presentations to all levels of stakeholders
