Job Summary:

A fast-scaling Fintech startup in Gurugram is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk strategy, credit risk analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational risk controls. This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of risk frameworks, and hands-on experience in a digital lending or fintech environment.

Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India


Roles and Responsibilities:

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework across credit, operational, financial, and strategic risk domains.
  • Define risk appetite, risk tolerance levels, and control mechanisms in alignment with business objectives.

Credit Risk & Lending Analytics:

  • Build and monitor credit risk models for underwriting, portfolio performance, and collections strategy.
  • Conduct customer segmentation, scorecard analysis, and risk-adjusted pricing in partnership with the data science team.

Operational & Fraud Risk:

  • Establish systems for early detection and prevention of fraud, cyber risks, and process failures.
  • Design control processes for KYC/AML, transaction monitoring, and data governance.

Regulatory & Compliance Risk:

  • Ensure compliance with RBI and SEBI guidelines applicable to digital lending and NBFC operations.
  • Work with legal and compliance teams to maintain audit trails, policies, and reporting standards.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Define KPIs and KRIs for risk dashboards and MIS reports for leadership and board review.
  • Present regular risk assessments, stress testing, and scenario modeling insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Product, Tech, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to integrate risk controls into all business workflows.
  • Lead risk education and training initiatives across the organization.

Tools & Technologies:

  • Strong knowledge of tools such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, or Tableau/Power BI for risk modeling and reporting.
  • Experience with risk engines, credit bureaus (CIBIL, CRIF), and loan origination systems (LOS/LMS).


Role Requirements:

  • Postgraduate in Finance, Risk, Statistics, or Chartered Accountant/MBA preferred.
  • 6–10 years of experience in Risk Management in fintech, NBFC, digital lending, or banking.
  • Deep understanding of credit lifecycle, digital lending regulations, and financial risk.
  • Hands-on with risk analytics, model validation, and fraud detection tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capabilities.


Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Hybrid flexibility available)


Salary: Based on experience
