Risk Management Associate

Role Purpose Statement: This position will be the initial point of contact for All My Sons Moving & Storage Nationwide locations for reported losses. This is a fast-paced environment so organizational, time management, and communication skills are critical. This position reports to the VP of Risk Management and works closely with the safety, fleet, customer care, and field-based operations in providing support and direction.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Claim intake from in-house Accident hotline.
  • Supports claim investigations for auto, work injuries, general liability and property damage claims.
  • Assist in gathering accident information for DOT reporting and recordable accidents.
  • Works with TPA and locations on Return-to-Work endeavors for injured employees.
  • Work with TPA and branch management and payroll to ensure injured workers under the Texas Work Injury Plan are being paid according to the plan.
  • Administers RTW for Texas Non-Subscriber program.
  • Coordinate modified duty arrangements between branch management and injured workers
  • Works with TPAs on work injury claims to ensure wage information is provided
  • Maintains Insurance Schedule.
  • Obtains renewal insurance policies.
  • Maintains Risk Management Centralized files.
  • Supports Director in exposure data gathering for insurance renewals.
  • Compile and prepare claim reports, reports on progress on a monthly or quarterly basis for various endeavors.
  • Support the department with endeavors to ensure compliance with all workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
  • Understands and communicates claims management philosophy and strategy to business units and regional management.
  • Interacts with third-party administrators, brokers and/or attorneys related to claims and other tasks.
  • Reviews insurance billings against agreed upon terms to ensure accuracy.
  • Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance
  • Perform other duties as necessary


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline, some college or working on degree (preferred) but will consider high school diploma with appropriate work experience.
  • Prior experience Managing workers compensation claims for large organization.
  • Prior experience supporting Auto/Property/General Liability claims for large organizations.
  • Will consider college grad with degree in insurance/risk management in lieu of industry experience.
  • Insurance/ Claims industry designations are desirable but not required.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and using judgement and initiative to solve problems.
  • Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, and Power Point is required.
  • Ability to work with web-based Risk Management Information Systems and prepare reports as required.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to review records and organize written data from a variety of sources.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment, professional discretion required when dealing with sensitive or confidential issues.


Compensation Structure

· $60,000.00 - $80,000.00+ per year, plus bonus plan
