Position Purpose:
The Sr. Risk Analyst is responsible for leading complex risk mitigation strategies, performing in-depth analysis, and overseeing risk administration. This role generates reports, manage data, and ensure compliance to TEL policies relating to insurance, portfolio concentrations, past due accounts, lease contracts, and payment histories. Additionally, the Sr Risk Analyst manages third party vendors and contract enforcement for the Company’s Owner Operator portfolio, including direct collection activity and collaboration with third party law firms and collection agencies.
Position Responsibilities:
Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance the effectiveness of providing world-class service and support.
Independently review and analyze intricate customer risk characteristics, including credit risk profiles and insurance risk management. This includes evaluating insurance providers, coverage levels, endorsements, and other critical factors.
Review and qualify insurance carriers, policy coverage, and deductible amounts for adequacy and compliance with lease contracts across the business portfolio.
Prepare, interpret, and present complex reports and data related to insurance, portfolio concentrations, past-due accounts, lease contracts, and payment histories for senior management.
Manage contract enforcement for the Company’s Owner Operator portfolio, including direct collection activities and strategic coordination with third-party law firms and collection agencies.
Alongside the VP of Credit, exercise significant discretion in collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure alignment on risk-related matters and to contribute to intradepartmental projects, communication, and workflow optimization.
Oversee and manage the Company’s Physical Damage Waiver product, ensuring compliance with risk policies, evaluating product performance, approving and overseeing PDW claims, and mitigating associated risks.
Continuously develop and refine risk mitigation policies, providing expert guidance to the Vice President of Credit & Collections on improving processes and mitigating exposure.
Complete other assignments as may be assigned from time to time by the Vice President – Credit & Collections and will work with other TEL departments to assist with intradepartmental risk management projects, communication, and workflow.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to apply advanced knowledge and independent judgment in developing and maintaining key processes and policies related to risk management.
Knowledge of accounting principles and ability to use core management information systems (ex: KARMAK)
MS Excel experience required working with data sets, pivot tables, vlookup tools, and other functions
Detail oriented and organized individual who streamlines process and workflow
Knowledge of lease and loan portfolio management, including risk factors related to customer payment behavior and insurance coverage.
Expertise in managing insurance-related risks, including coverage levels, endorsements, and claims management.
Knowledge of physical damage waiver products and how they interact with insurance policies and risk mitigation strategies.
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers as well as co-workers in multiple departments
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or comparable combination of education and experience required.
Minimum of five years job experience required.
Wage: 70k to 90k
