JOB This class within the department is to review, process, approve, inspect and enforce right of way permits and work performed within the public right of way. Provides oversight to land development, public and private utility construction, and the City’s capital improvement projects. This class develops and recommends implementation of policies relating to management, quality control, standards of conformance, construction administration, and fiscal control. Essential Functions: Reviews, processes, approves, inspects, and enforces right of way permits; Inspects and enforces traffic control set up within the right of way; Coordinates and assists with the administration and review of land development and construction projects;Drafts, implements, reviews, and responds to various documents, ordinances, and emails;Documents, tracks, and maintains files through digital records management system; Attends new construction and pre-construction meetings for City project and events (public and private); Monitors city right of way for abandoned or unsafe utility assets or work performed within a permit;Creating and maintaining database(s);Creating applications to support field data collection;Additional Duties: Other duties as specified and/or assigned;Provides internal and external customer service and technical assistance;Maintains company issued equipment.
