Summary

Job Description:

  • Rhapsody Certification Required
  • The role involves backend processing and ELC Modernization Projects, including requirements gathering, providing technical advice, and project documentation. The developer will focus on process development/automation, webservice calls, data parsing (XML, CSV, SOAP, HL7), and route development. Responsibilities include testing, validations, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Key areas include enhancing data management and transformation in Rhapsody software, setting up new routes, and developing proactive monitoring for data processing issues. The candidate will ensure compliance with state laws and industry best practices.
  • This position supports critical systems for Public Health and Lab, including COVID-19-related activities.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Systems Integration team and Public Health Deputy Area.
  • Design and implement processes, specifications, and code reviews.
  • Support Rhapsody upgrades and system configurations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining system uptime.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot Rhapsody routes to handle new data elements and formats.
  • Perform code reviews, ensure best practices, and mentor the team.
  • Support data migrations, database code changes, and legacy system modernization.

  • Lyniate Rhapsody Software (V 6+)
  • HL7 (V 2.3.1 - 2.5.1)
  • XML
  • MS T-SQL
  • Web Services (REST, SOAP, WSDL)
  • JavaScript (ECMA/E4X)
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Resolution
  • Experience with Security & Data Classification (CDC, HIPAA, CJIS, PHI, PII)
  • Preferred Skills (Ranked in order of importance):
  • Data Integration, Staging, Quality, and Distribution
  • Public Health / Disease Surveillance Systems / LIMS Experience
  • LOINC / SNOMED
  • DEVOPS / JIRA
  • Strong Communication Skills

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
