Purpose
The RF Engineer will be responsible for the management, operation and growth of the radome testing capabilities at M1 composites
Key Responsibilities
Develop test plans and procedures based on customer requirements for aircraft radomes transmissivity testing using weather radar antennas (RTCA Standard & MIL Specifications).
Operate test range and produce report to support certification.
Coordinate the built and installation of a new Compact Field Testing Range with all internal and external stakeholder.
Leading R&D Projects on various Aircraft Components and Compact/Near Field Radome Measurement System.
Grow testing capabilities and customer base for existing and future testing equipment.
Maintain in-house test ranges and test equipment per operating procedures to meet certification requirements.
Recognize failures and troubleshoot problems encountered during system testing and formulate corrective action plan.
Design testing fixtures, tooling & jigs and support their manufacturing.
Support the design team on other manufacturing projects.
Ideal profile
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field;
Strong background in radiofrequency analysis and testing/design structures to RF standards;
Past experience with the integration of equipment (VNA, power generators, etc) in an anechoic chamber;
Past experience with the calibration of RF testing equipment;
Knowledge of Lua or NSI MI-3000 software (an asset);
Experience in managing and leading R&D projects (an asset);
