Position Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Healthcare or Behavioral Health - Revenue Cycle Collections Specialist to ensure the efficient adjudication of Third-Party claims and optimize cash collections. You will play a vital role in reducing A/R aging by resolving claim issues, navigating payer guidelines, and driving collection efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about problem-solving and collaboration in a healthcare setting. This role reports to the Supervisor of Revenue Cycle Management.

What You'll Do:

  • Claims Management & Follow-Up:
    • Analyze claim payments and ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
    • Perform timely phone follow-ups with insurance carriers for prompt reimbursement.
    • Handle payer denials, corrections, appeals, adjustments, and write-offs.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Manage and process confidential patient health information (PHI) in line with HIPAA regulations.
    • Document interactions in the EHR system with accuracy and consistency.
    • Investigate and resolve Third-Party claims issues and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with internal departments to secure information for claim resolution.
    • Communicate effectively with payers, leadership, and team members to ensure timely outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay informed about Federal, State, and payer regulations.
    • Submit medical records promptly for medical necessity requests, appeals, and secondary claims.
  • Performance Goals:
    • Reduce outstanding A/R and DSO aging.
    • Resolve claim denials within three days of receipt.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle collections.
  • Behavioral health or medical clinic experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance plans, billing procedures, and medical codes.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and billing systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • This position requires onsite work at our corporate office in Addison, TX.
