Apex Fund Services has expanded over the past few years with substantial M&A activity and is in an extensive transformation program which involves new systems and processes. This has impacted the Finance team as merged entities are taken onboard with legacy systems while implementing WorkDay as the group accounting system, Adaptive as a financial forecasting and budgeting tool and other significant projects (eg a new billing platform, comprehensive pricing review tools) are underway.

Due to this continued expansion and transformation, the finance department is actively seeking to recruit a highly analytical and detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our Finance team in Luxembourg. This role is pivotal to supporting our Fund Administration business line, providing insightful revenue analysis, contributing to financial planning and forecasting, and ensuring accurate month-end revenue accounting with a new platform that expands across all previously acquired entities.

You will act as a key liaison between Finance, Business Development, and Client Service teams, helping to drive data-driven decision-making and support the business’s commercial and strategic goals.

Revenue Analysis & Forecasting

  • Analyse monthly and quarterly revenue performance against forecasts and budgets.
  • Provide variance analysis with detailed commentary and commercial insights.
  • Develop revenue models to support pricing decisions and scenario planning.
  • Partner with Client Services and Commercial teams to understand client pipelines and expected revenue flows.

Financial Planning & Decision Support

  • Support budgeting and long-range planning cycles for Investor Services revenue streams.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards to track key revenue KPIs.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance revenue performance.

Revenue Accounting & Controls

  • Prepare and post accurate month-end revenue journal entries in accordance with internal policies and IFRS/local GAAP as applicable.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of accrued and deferred revenue entries.
  • Reconcile revenue accounts and support internal/external audit requests.
  • Monitor compliance with contracts and service-level agreements from a billing/revenue recognition perspective.

Process Improvement & Systems Support

  • Enhance revenue tracking, forecasting, and reporting processes through automation and system improvements.
  • Assist in implementation and maintenance of FP&A tools (Adaptive) and ERP/reporting systems (WorkDay) and CRM (Salesforce) tools.

Skills Required:

  • A University degree in n Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CFA) a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A, or Revenue Accounting role—ideally in financial services and/or fund administration.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounting fundamentals.
  • Analytical mindset with a commercial orientation and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines
  • Fluent in English; French or German is an asset.
