About the Opportunity:

Our client, a fast-growing player in the telecommunications industry, is looking to hire a Revenue Recognition Accounting Manager to join their accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting complex revenue arrangements and ensuring compliance with ASC 606. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, particularly around contract review and revenue policy, and thrive in a collaborative, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, and Finance) to assess the accounting impact of new contracts and business models.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue reports as part of the month- and quarter-end close processes.
• Draft and maintain technical accounting memos to support revenue conclusions.
• Drive improvements in revenue processes, policies, and systems; contribute to ERP and billing system optimization.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls related to revenue recognition and contract accounting.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in accounting guidance and advise leadership on potential impacts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including practical application of ASC 606.
• Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and revenue sub-ledgers.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
