Sugar Paper at the Marin Country Mart is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead our team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the store
• Partner with Head of Retail Operations to train, mentor, and inspire retail associates
• Acts as a liaison between the studio and retail store team
• Write and manage staff schedules
• Build, nurture, and maintain meaningful client relationships
• Weekly and monthly reporting based on sales goals
• Cultivate a store culture that surprises and delights
• Conduct personalized consultations for custom stationery and invitations
• Uphold and instill company policies and brand values with care and consistency
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
• Actively engage with and grow the local community

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in team leadership and fostering a positive, inclusive store culture
• Current involvement in the local Marin community a plus
• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Strong communication skills, with professional phone and email etiquette
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
• History of exceeding individual and team sales goals
• Ability to multitask gracefully
• Ability to wrap a beautiful gift and tie an exceptional bow
