A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESOURCE SPECIALIST
In this position, you will provide comprehensive, objective telephone and/or in-person support to consumers inquiring about long-term care services, housing options, caregiver support, Medicare counseling, and other public benefits. You will also assist consumers in assessing their or their care receiver's needs for services, making decisions about service options, assessing benefits, and connecting with formal and informal providers.
Qualifications
1 year of professional or internship experience in the social services field, including long-term care, health care provider, social services provider or lead agency setting.
- Compliance with all state licensure requirements
- Knowledge of health insurance options including Medicare benefits, Medical Assistance, and other public benefit programs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Heart for working with older adults
A bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, or related human services field strongly preferred. Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you highly organized and detail-oriented? Do you have strong problem-solving skills? Can you successfully work independently and alongside a team? Are you great at time management? This position is
hybrid, working one-two days in the office and the remainder of the time at from home, Monday
- Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
