Your Role as a Life Skills Instructor: You will assist adults with disabilities in developing the skills necessary for greater independence in residential or community settings. You'll oversee a caseload of individuals and provide ongoing support, both in their homes and in the community. What You'll Do: * Daily Living Support: Help with cooking, cleaning, and transportation to appointments. * Skill Development: Work with individuals to achieve their personalized goals based on their abilities and preferences. * Case Management: work on individualized goals, work with Psycho Educational Services to work on symptom management and recreation/community-based opportunities. * Community Engagement: Encourage participation in activities like sports, movies, shopping, crafts, walking in the park, and other enjoyable experiences. Creativity is welcome to make each day meaningful! * Promote Independence: Provide training and opportunities to enhance their independence within integrated community settings.
