Duties
Repair and service HVAC Systems (heating and air conditioning systems)
EPA Certified Work indoor and outdoor on a variety of floor surfaces.
Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or to verify that repairs corrected malfunctions.
Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as changing filters or refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
Repair, install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers.
Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form a complete circuit.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders.
Service and test automatic, programmable, or wireless thermostats in residential or commercial buildings to minimize energy usage for heating or cooling.
Adjust system controls to settings recommended by the manufacturer to balance the system.
Recommend, develop, or perform preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters.
Service or repair air purification systems, such as specialized filters or ultraviolet (UV) light purification systems.
Assemble, position, and mount heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints or manufacturer's specifications.
Other duties as assigned.
Service or repair self-contained ground source heat pumps or hybrid ground or air source heat pumps to minimize carbon-based energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
Wrap pipes, securing insulation in place with cement or wire bands.
Review design specifications or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
Attend department meetings and regular training sessions

5 years plus of Residential HVAC Service experience
Willing to work overtime and weekends
Flexible schedule and no mandatory on call.
Willing to provide improved options to the homeowner
Valid driver's license with a good record
Able to pass a pre-employment substance screening and background check

Working Conditions
Environment:
Drive a vehicle to conduct work.
Working in residential homes and outside weather conditions (heat/cold).
Regular interruptions.
Department meetings/training.
Physical Demands: This position requires a range of physical abilities consisting of:
Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching, squatting, crawling; heights, ascend/descend ladder, climb or balance, confined spaces.
Eyesight corrected or uncorrected sufficient to read a variety of materials including but not limited to fine print.
Hearing with or without use of hearing aid(s) sufficient to hear any conversation with others; understandable voice and speech patterns.
Manual dexterity and coordination sufficient to operate tools and equipment of the trade.
Sitting, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
Use hands to handle and/or feel; reach with hands and arms.
Must occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work in outdoor conditions: Heat/Cold inclement weather
