Summary

Job Description and Duties This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in person at their designated approved HQ location at least two (2) days per week and as needed/required. Beginning July 1, 2025, all DGS employees will be required to work in office at their assigned HQ location four (4) days per week and as needed/required in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) in the IeProcurement Business Intelligence Section (eBISS), the Research Data Specialist I (RDSI) participates on major research projects applying systematic, critical, and intensive research methods and complex statistical analysis techniques utilizing Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Enterprise Guide (EG), and Visual Analytics (VA) software, R or Python coding language, Access, PowerBI, Excel pivot tables and charts, and Word. These research projects will study areas where precedents are lacking or limited knowledge or experience with the subject matter exists. Conflict of Interest This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
