Summary

About the role Acepodia is seeking a self-motivated and detailed-oriented individual with a passion for the translational research and pipeline development. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in molecular biology and immunology to gain hands-on experience in a research and translational environment. The position involves both hands-on laboratory work and the translational activities essential to developing novel therapies. You will work in a supportive and collaborative cross functional team with R&D and clinical team members across the US and Taiwan. * Position Title: Research Associate I/II * Location: Alameda, CA * Reports to: Research Scientist * Job Type: Full-time Education/Background * B.S. or M.S. in life science-related fields (Immunology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry) * Experience in cancer or immunology research (cell or antibody therapy-related experience is a plus) * Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, lentivirus production, flow cytometry, qPCR and cell-based cytotoxicity assay * Experience in oncology or immune-oncology early clinical development and/or bioassays/ biomarker or PK/PD is a plus Responsibilities (including but are not limited to): Laboratory Duties: * Conduct laboratory experiments, including T cell culture and expansion, cytotoxicity assays and molecular biology experiments. * Perform flow cytometry-based assay to analyze surface markers of T cells. * Participate in routine laboratory tasks, including reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Translational Study Duties: * Assist in managing Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to ensure alignment with the study protocol. * Conduct detailed reviews of CRO documentation to verify compliance with the study protocols and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with the project management team and other stakeholders to address any discrepancies or issues identified during document reviews. * Provide administrative support and maintain organized records of all documentation and communications related to the clinical trials. * Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks under the supervision of project managers. * Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements & Relevant Skills: * Cytotoxicity analysis and multi-color fluorescence flow cytometry experience in a laboratory setting is required * Experience in primary T cell expansion/isolation is a plus * Strong organization and coordination skills to prioritize the assignments to deliver timely results * Ability to follow SOPs & lab guidelines and work independently * Execute laboratory quality procedures and experiments with detail to attention * Accurately record experimental procedures, observations, and data analysis in a timely manner * Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-moving team environment * Knowledge and experience with ligand-biding assays, flow cytometry-based technologies, and cell-based functional assays * Team player - Ability to work within a multidisciplinary matrix team, both internal and external, including advisors/consultants * Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills (including written and oral presentation skills) Contact us to apply Acepodia is an equal opportunity employer offering a competitive salary and comprehensive package, including health benefits (medical, dental, vision), paid vacation, and holiday time.
