Research Associate II - In Vivo, Biology Research Operations

W2 Contract

Salary Range: $79,000 - $89,400 per year

Location: Redwood City, CA - Onsite Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, conduct, analyze, and report in vivo studies (efficacy, PK/PD).
• Carry out pre-clinical model development and characterization.
• Conduct standard vivarium operations.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and perform accurate and timely record-keeping and data analysis.
• Learn and conduct other in vivo-related techniques.
• Interface with cross-functional project team members and participate in and present at project and cross-departmental team meetings.
• Formulate and administer drugs and experimental compounds by various routes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Biology or Pharmacology related discipline (3 - 5 years experience)
• Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques, including dosing (IV, PO, subcutaneous, IP), tumor inoculation/measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, survival surgeries, and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis
• Computer literacy, especially proficiency in GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• The ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with in vivo imaging and Studylog
• Research experience with mouse models of cancer and/or cancer immunotherapy
