Pay Rate: Up to $38.00 per hour
Job Purpose:
Advantage Technical is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development Technician to assist in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, and equipment. Under direct supervision, you will compile, analyze, and report operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products. This role involves providing build and prototyping support to technical leaders as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake and complete basic project/product development tasks, including writing and/or verifying specifications, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials, and products.
* Assist in inventing and creating concepts and designs for new products, processes, and test methods.
* Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
* Design and coordinate rudimentary engineering tests and experiments.
* Apply the Technical Development Process (TDP) and Product Development Process (PDP) methodologies.
* Prepare standard reports and documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
* Complete basic tasks on engineering documentation.
* Train technicians/operators on new processes and/or test procedures.
* Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and submit idea records.
Qualifications:
* 0-1 year of experience with a Bachelor's degree or a High School diploma with 8+ years of experience or an Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience.
* Experience with catheters and material science is a plus.
