About the Role:

We're looking for a hands-on, technically driven Project Design Engineer to join our innovative R&D team. You'll work at the forefront of machinery development, driving concept creation, prototyping, and performance testing through to project handover. This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, values technical depth, and enjoys both individual and collaborative project work.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build custom test setups and prototypes
• Conduct detailed calculations and performance analysis
• Drive concept development and hands-on engineering solutions
• Analyse test results and refine designs accordingly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition prototypes to production
• Take ownership of planning, budgeting, and project coordination
• Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Occasionally lead smaller project workstreams

Tech Stack & Tools:

• Python (ML/AI experience is a plus)
• Excel, LabView
• Mechanical or mechatronic design tools
• PLC knowledge (nice to have)

Your Background:

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
• Around 4 years of experience (flexible for the right candidate)
• Practical experience with machinery design and development
• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
• Dutch-speaking preferred; strong English-only candidates considered
