We are currently seeking a Research and Development Engineer to join a passionate team focused on advancing cancer treatment solutions through cutting-edge biotechnology.
About the Role:
As an R&D Engineer, you'll work within the Interventional Oncology and Embolization division, playing a vital role in sustaining engineering for a key strategic product. This position is at the forefront of innovation, supporting technologies that make a real difference in the lives of cancer patients.
You'll bridge R&D and manufacturing teams-troubleshooting, improving processes, implementing design updates, and ensuring product reliability and compliance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Pay: Up to $58/hr. | Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert engineering support for PI EME systems
* Lead engineering change orders (ECOs), design updates, and component substitutions
* Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
* Collaborate across quality, supply chain, regulatory, and manufacturing teams
* Support design and process change validation/verification (V&V)
* Design and execute engineering tests and experiments
* Fabricate and procure fixtures and tooling
* Document and communicate technical results clearly
* May provide guidance to technicians and contribute to cross-functional project success
Qualifications:
* BS in Engineering (Mechanical strongly preferred) with 3-4+ years of experience
* OR MS in Engineering with 2+ years of experience
* Background in medical device design and/or process engineering preferred
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in SolidWorks
* Independent, self-starter mindset with excellent communication skills
* Passion for quality and continuous improvement
