This is a very high profile and senior role that leads the commercial and operational B2B relationship between Sandoz a very large and strategic customer. With an enterprise mindset and a passion for performance that is supported by an entrepreneurial spirit, you will support the delivery of the company’s financial objectives by developing this relationship, so it delivers its maximum potential on various sales, margin & operational KPI’s. Your account planning approach should set the standard for others to follow which is supported by an ability to nurture, grow and leverage value from relationships across all levels internally and externally.


Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Delivers targeted sales & margin targets on a monthly & annual basis (50/50 weighting)
  • Delivers and implements all aspects of the sales process & operating cycle, ensuring all process needs & protocols are adhered to (Large Account Management approach)
  • Implements tactical & long term business planning to support the delivery of assigned KPIs
  • Works closely with supply chain to ensure high levels of customer/territory forecast accuracy
  • Negotiate and deliver compelling/stretching/bespoke customer retro agreements to support performance needs
  • Actively captures, communicates & reacts to market place activity to ensure commercial excellence is achieved at all times (price, new business, forecasting)
  • Puts the needs of the Enterprise first, collaborating across all functions of the internal business to deliver account objectives and find new value by working in different ways
  • Uses this Enterprise mindset to assemble and utilise the full impact of the business resource when seeking to identify performance opportunities or problem solve.
  • Seeks to discover and implement added value project opportunities within assigned account to drive long term customer collaboration & interdependence
  • Define and implement a programme of self-improvement by delivering the values & behaviours expected within a management role
  • Comply with all legal, compliance and code of conduct requirements of the company


What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience of pharmaceuticals in one of the following groups: wholesalers, retail chains or hospitals
  • Experience within the UK generics commercial environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of the NHS & Pharma industry
  • Educated to degree level in business or science subject
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Very strong negotiating, persuasion & influencing skills; Proven success in a high performance culture
  • High change & personality agility
  • Managing multiple priorities in a demanding environment
  • Ability to manage matrix stakeholders with effective relationship building
  • Very strong Excel, Word, Teams & PowerPoint skills (IT Savvy)
  • Confident & engaging when presenting to large audiences
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with using numbers
