Role Overview:
We’re hiring a mission-driven VP of Engineering to lead our AI engineering team and architect the future of digital agent orchestration. You’ll scale a world-class team, refine our technical vision, and deliver a platform that powers real-time, emotionally intelligent interactions at scale.
This is a remote position. However, candidates must reside in Austin or Dallas, TX or New York to support collaboration with key executives. Up to 25% travel required.
What You’ll Do:
Own engineering strategy, team structure, and org growth aligned to company goals
Lead and mentor teams building LLM-integrated workflows, real-time voice agents, and AWS-native infrastructure
Drive architectural decisions across our platform and agent stack — including Bedrock, Lex, Connect, and multimodal emotion AI
Partner with Product, Design, and Client teams to deliver mission-critical features on tight timelines
Build systems that balance performance, scalability, and compliance
Hire and grow a team of top-tier engineers across AI, voice, and cloud domains
Report directly to the CAIO and operate as a key extension of the executive team
What You Bring:
8+ years of engineering leadership in AI, SaaS, or customer experience platforms
Deep hands-on knowledge of cloud-native architecture, especially AWS
Proven success scaling engineering orgs through hypergrowth or startup phases
Experience with real-time AI workflows, LLMs, and conversational platforms
Strong product intuition and the ability to translate vision into execution
Relentless focus on shipping, speed, and team culture
Bonus Points:
Experience with contact center platforms (AWS Connect, NICE, Genesys)
Background in voice biometrics, emotion AI, or human-computer interaction
Experience in AI bias testing
Prior startup or founding experience
