Position: Part-Time contract SQL Server Database Administrator

Location: Remote in the USA

Engagement: Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with potential for a long-term extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain SQL Server databases hosted in an Azure cloud environment
• Execute essential DBA functions including backups, restores, performance monitoring, and index management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support business operations
• Proactively diagnose and resolve database performance and reliability issues
• Work in tandem with existing contractors to ensure seamless database support and continuity

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of practical experience as a SQL Server DBA
• Proven expertise with Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid grasp of Azure-based infrastructure and database deployment best practices
