What you'll do: As an Engineering Manager at Cartus, you will be part of our Product & Technology organization focused on several Strategic Initiatives that are responsible for the overall success of Cartus and our parent company Anywhere RE, by delivering high quality product and completing of critical projects. In this role, you will lead pods with the above mission. You will work with a variety of teams and individuals, from both technology and business by communicating, solutioning, managing expectations, ideating, removing roadblocks, supporting your team, etc. to maximize the overall satisfaction of the initiatives you will lead. Skills, accomplishments, interests you should have: * BS, MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience. * At least 10+ years of leading engineering teams in co-located or remote settings. * At least 15+ years in software development. * Responsible for defining, understanding, and promoting enterprise practices and patterns. * Able to refine stories/requirements and gather non-functional requirements. Familiarity with Scrum. * Leads analysis, architecture, design, coding, peer-reviews, automated testing and other SDLC critical functions. * Work with data engineers to design and improve data models/architecture. * Develops clear, detailed technical and user documentation that will facilitate support for developed solutions. * Strong hands-on skills in both SQL and No-SQL systems. * Acquires knowledge of existing systems and the underlying business processes they support. * Takes a leadership role in the team environment; encourages, coaches and mentors team members in acquiring the technical and behavioral skills needed to effectively produce solutions which will best meet the needs of users. * Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft and MEAN Stack. Hands-on experience is technologies such as C#, TypeScript, .Net Framework, Azure, etc. are a must have. Lead by example to inspire and motivate team members to set high standards and commitment to a common goal. * Familiar and a regular user of AI models and AI based tools and have implemented at least one business initiative using AI. * Experience with CI/CD. * Ability to learn new technologies and evaluate multiple technologies to solve a problem. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
