Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to design, implement, and optimize SAP integration and data extraction processes for migration to Snowflake. This individual will work closely with the data engineering team to extract and transform data from SAP systems, ensuring data consistency and alignment with the overall data architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Develop ABAP programs to extract data from SAP ECC or SAP BW systems.

• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to design and implement SAP data extraction processes.

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SAP data extraction and integration.

• Work with the data team to ensure data consistency, integrity, and optimization during migration to Snowflake.

• Support the debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of ABAP-based extraction processes.

• Ensure that the SAP data extraction processes are efficient and scalable, able to handle large volumes of data.

• Maintain and optimize SAP data interfaces as required for data migration.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in ABAP development within SAP environments.

• Expertise in SAP ECC, SAP BW, and data extraction techniques.

• Experience with SAP Data Services, RFCs, BAPIs, or similar tools for data extraction is a plus.

• Familiarity with data migration processes from SAP to cloud-based platforms (preferably Snowflake).

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize ABAP programs.

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
