Responsibilities: - Design and develop database models for various applications and systems - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs - Analyze and evaluate existing data models for optimization and improvement - Implement best practices for data modeling, ensuring data integrity and performance - Create and maintain documentation of data models, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) - Collaborate with database administrators to ensure efficient implementation and maintenance of data models - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data modeling techniques Role and Responsibilities: Provide senior level data modeling services, including building logical & physical database models for a new database system with large numbers of users and interfaces. Be responsible for leading and facilitating communication with business customers, IT staff, and other stakeholders, incorporating business requirements into data model design Create Conceptual/Logical/Physical Models for EDW staging, data integration, analytics, and reporting Lead model management and version control of data models Strategy Establish Standards, Guidelines, and Best Practices around data modeling initiatives Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to establish, and enforce data principles, standards, and best practices Requirements Lead database requirements gathering meetings with application teams, Database Administrators, and/or business partners to understand business needs by facilitating requirements and modeling sessions including user interview, document analysis, workshops Collaborate in meetings with product owners to understand the functional requirements Solutioning Review the data models with team leads to assess the quality of the data model solution. Skills: - Strong experience in database design and data modeling concepts. -Hands on with ERWIN, Power designer or ER Studio. - Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) - Knowledge of big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus - Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data requirements - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Note: This is a senior-level position requiring advanced knowledge and experience in data modeling.
