Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage our projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RPG, ERP, and software implementation, along with excellent client management skills. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to closure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and allocate resources effectively
- Oversee the development, testing and rollout of ERP Software Solutions for a variety of customers (Pharmaceutical Distribution, Fireworks, Trucks Parts/Services, Apparel, Home and Garden, etc.)
- Conduct regular project status meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Create test plans, test cases and perform integration and parallel testing of all processes
- Perform Software Development/Gap Analysis, research, documentation, and preparation of DDS's (Detailed Design Specifications) for customization/software implementation
- Conduct database analysis and leverage analytics for project reporting and performance measurement
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional client management throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in software implementation
- Strong knowledge of RPG, ERP, project management methodologies, and client management
- Experience in database analysis and analytics is required
- Familiarity with AS400 and IBM i systems
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus
- Nice to have skills include IBM, Java, Mobile, S2K, SQL, ECommerce, Cloud, Business Intelligence, DB2, CRM
