BI and ETL Developer- 6-7 month contract

Location: Remote- Eastern Time Zone

Salary: $45-$55/hr

Requirements: 3+ years BI Development, Proficiency with BI tools- Power BI, Tableau, Data Warehousing and ETL tools

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team for 6-7 month duration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that improve data-driven decision-making within the organization. The role involves working with various data sources, implementing ETL processes, and creating insightful data visualizations using tools like Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Integrate APIs to gather data from external systems and services.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data efficiently.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs and provide solutions accordingly.
• Maintain and optimize the performance of data workflows and databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Solid experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Familiarity with API integration and data sourcing techniques.
• Proficient in SQL (query optimization, performance turning) and experience with data warehouse concepts.
• Experience with data integration and performance tuning is a plus.
• Knowledge of tools such as Informatica, Skyvia, Tableau, and SSIS is desirable.
• Understanding of relational databases and data manipulation techniques.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
