Technica is seeking to recruit a Project Manager for DLA Distribution. This is fully remote position and is contingent upon contract award.
This position assists the Distribution Project Manager will have full authority to act for the Contractor on all matters related to contract performance. The Distribution Project Manager shall have the ability to deploy globally in support of emerging requirements, within 48 hours of notification.
Duties:
* Project Manager provides management, organizational, business and technical leadership and services to ensure successful completion of tasks on a timely basis and within budget
* Has the authority to resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operational performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction
* Daily or frequently interaction with the government customer
* Project Manager shall support safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety program enforcement for Contractor operations
* Directs employees engaged in planning outbound shipping loads, scheduling movement of outbound shipments to include air, surface, small parcel, and sea IAW all applicable contracts, DTC, SDDC Global Freight Management (GFM) system applications, and completing required documentation and data entry functions to include Bills of Lading (BOLs), manifests and all other forms of transportation documentation
* Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly basis
* Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Project Manager
* Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
* Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work
* Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract. Uses WMS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
* Planning and managing the contract professionally
* Coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads
* Ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources
* Ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided
* Executing effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered
* Execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost
Basic Qualifications:
* US citizen
* Age 18 years or older
* Valid driver's license (passport preferred, if travel required OCONUS)
* Ability to obtain and maintain any base access required (CAC)
Position Qualifications:
* The Alternate Distribution Project Manager shall possess a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent five (5) years Government or private-sector work experience) and one (1) year of management experience
