About

Our client is a buy-side brokerage in the Private Equity space. They connect business owners (looking to sell their business) with their PE partners (looking to buy profitable businesses).


In short, our client helps Private Equity firms engage with more business owners, maximize deal flow, and unlock acquisition opportunities (off-market).


Role Description

We’re seeking a proactive, organized, and personable Business Development Executive to handle replies/inbound leads, drive outbound follow-up campaigns, and book meetings for our founder.


You’ll be the engine behind our deal origination-identifying, engaging, and qualifying business owners, then scheduling high-value conversations.


What You'll Do

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure fit as a qualified business for our specific acquisition criteria (EBITDA, gross margins, management structure, & more), and book meetings for the founder if the business/business owner is qualified


  • Manage relationships and update CRM with all outreach, notes, and follow-ups. You should have an intuitive understanding of the CRM and where the major opportunities are (active deals)


  • Introduce qualified deals to investors with the founder (you will be coached by the founder for this, and you’ll eventually be able to close deals by yourself - if you want to learn)


  • Support the founder in building and executing outbound lead generation campaigns (email, LinkedIn, etc.), track outreach metrics, and suggest improvements to increase appointment rates by refining the messaging, targeting, and campaign strategy - in collaboration with the founder


Who You Are

  • Experienced in outbound sales, appointment setting, or SDR roles (3+ years preferred) with the desire/hunger to close deals yourself (eventually, with training)


  • Excellent communicator-confident on the phone and in writing, with strong rapport-building skills, especially with business owners/high-net worth individuals


  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple outreach campaigns and follow-ups


  • Resourceful, persistent, and comfortable with rejection, especially in an early-stage startup environment


  • Familiar with sales tech stacks (e.g., Instantly, Lemlist, Pipedrive, etc.)


  • Bonus: Experience with M&A, private equity, or investment banking is a plus

Compensation

Hourly ($25/hr) to start - with about 10 hours of work per week, which we can scale up as necessary. Plus, you earn a % of the deals that you land (up for negotiation, DOE).
