Role: NOC Support analyst (Network Operations)

Work Location: Remote - USA

Duration: 11 Months+


Max Experience: 5-7 years


Additional Information: Candidate should be ready to work in night shift in weekdays and weekends. 10 hours shift, 4 days per week (Total estimated 40 hrs/week)


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Summary : Responsibilities are that of NOC support ( Network Operations)

- Assist in the support of servers, network devices and mainframes at all facilities for hardware or software errors

- Execute diagnostic tests to monitor the health and performance of computer systems and communications equipment

- Monitor client help desk calls and assist in the in resolution of problems; escalate problems to internal technical

groups as appropriate

- Create documentation that will troubleshoot internal networks and systems efficiently

- Provide network support for WAN and IP Telephony networks

- Proactively contact participants when surveillance systems identify connectivity issues

- Implement and participate in Disaster Recovery exercises

- Support release implementation, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and disaster recovery testing

- Prepare Operations for the implementation or decommission of services

- Engage with other technical teams and assist/develop technical solution for integration projects

-Triage and troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues on a complex mission critical application

- Perform root cause analysis of issues as needed

- Develop run-books for recurring issues, system implementation, shutdown and recovery


Skills required for this role:

3 to 5 years’ experience working knowledge about networking devices like Cisco routers switches

3 to 5 years’ experience with Red Hat Linux and in an enterprise environment, Application support

OR/AND

2 to 3 years’ experience/ knowledge about WebSphere Application server ( preferred)

OR/AND

2 to 3 years’ experience with working with Database
