Job Title: Java Developer

Location:1-Day per week onsite (Norfolk Naval Shipyard, VA)

Certifications: CompTia Security+ CE (Required)

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (Required)

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Java Development: 3–5+ years of experience with Java 8.0 or newer
• Web Technologies: 3–5+ years of experience with Java Server Pages (JSF) and JavaScript
• Frameworks: Proficient with Struts 1.0 and JSF, with the ability to convert applications from Struts to JSF
• Development Tools: Experience using NetBeans (versions 8.0 to 11.0) or Eclipse IDE
• Database Skills: Able to read and write SQL code effectively
• PDF Design: Experience creating Adobe PDF templates
• Version Control & DevOps: Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps, including generating PBIs, bugs, and tasks
• Optional Skills: Knowledge of CA-GEN servers and CABs on Z/OS is a plus
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed requirement analysis for new features and change requests
• Translate user requirements into robust software modules for cloud-hosted environments
• Define and manage development timelines
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to client needs
• Develop technical documentation including requirement specs, unit test plans, and code change summaries
• Engage in Agile practices such as Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, planning sessions, and retrospectives
• Demonstrate strong understanding of core software algorithms and process workflows
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across different levels of the organization
• Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in client interactions
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed for the program
