Responsibilities
Work with large data volumes efficiently using Pentaho Data Integration for the purposes of reporting, segmentation, predicting customer behavior, and other ad hoc requests
Design and develop MicroStrategy (version 10.4, 11.0) Reports, Documents, Cubes, Dashboards and Scorecards per specified requirements and timelines
Design and introduce new processes and solutions to drive sophisticated BI processes
Take part in defining the overall data integration architecture (e.g. ETL processes, Data Marts, OLAP)
Implement defined documentation and programming standards for projects and provide a documentation framework including requirements, design, testing and deployment documents
Maintain and expand existing knowledge of Business Intelligence and current technology through training opportunities
Explore new sources of information to expand insight opportunities
Qualifications
Core Competencies (Must-have Competencies)
At least 3 years of ETL developer experience using any ETL tool
At least 3 years of experience with Programing in SQL and database servers such as MySQL, Teradata, MSSQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, and DB2
At least 2 years of experience in developing web applications using .NET VB/C# or PHP
Experienced in using visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Pentaho, Power BI, Tableau, and Information Builder
Knowledgeable with Pentaho and related tools such as Data Integration, Schema Workbench, and User Console
Good programming skills
Able to understand the business context to tailor data presentation, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and supports decision-making processes
Able to translate complex data into easily understandable reports or dashboards for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG)
Interpersonal skills and good communication skills
Eager and receptive to learn new skills and tools
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration
